One of Apple’s recent acquisitions was to buy Beats Audio, by Dr. Dre, for $3 billion – that’s right – billion with a ‘B’. Granted, Apple tends to remain very secretive when they do acquire a company so all the details surrounding BookLamp are still forming. What we do know, according to the TechCrunch post, is that Apple spent anywhere between $10 and $15 million for BookLamp.
