In addition to the funding announcement, Peter Barris, Managing General Partner at NEA, and Dayna Grayson, NEA Partner, will join APX Labs’ board of directors. APX Labs will also roll out the general availability of their Skylight 2.0 platform. The Skylight software presents users with an overlay of information in their field of view and already works with smart glass technologies like Google Glass and Epson Moverio. Skylight 2.0 includes an upgrade to the functionality for the client, server, and dashboard via new telestration, beacon, and radar features. Telestration provides immediate and contextual feedback from a remote supervisor to help employees in their work. The beacon function guides workers towards specific locations or objects. And the radar widget shows the location of important points relative to the user.
